Our Milestones
1982
The founder began the business by selling Yong Tau Foo and white fish balls in the Bukit Mertajam wet market and night market.
1985
The business is gradually expanding its operations to the Butterworth area.
1987
Begin taking orders from Ipoh, Taiping, and Alor Setar.
1989
Move to Taman Seri Rambai in order to improve productivity by purchasing the first forming machine.
1991 - 1992
The first cold room was built to store 1 tonne of goods, and additional machines such as forming, boiling, and frying machines were purchased.
1993
Mr Boo Tai Chong - elder son of Boo’s family joined the business.
1994
The first lorry was purchased to deliver goods.
1998
Managed to buy new land to build a factory.
2000
FisherGold Food was officially established after moving into a new factory.
2007
Purchase of a bowl cutter and installation of an automated frying and boiling system.
2008
Started with the brands - SeaBrew, Rasegar, Festta and Pago.
2011
For the first time, we exported to Brunei and commenced our venture into the Hypermarket - Econsave (Northern Region).
2013
Continue our venture with Econsave (Central Region), Mydin, and gradually expand into more wholesale, retail, and hypermarket outlets.
2014 - 2021
Expand the market to the whole of Malaysia (Econsave and more hypermarkets) and overseas markets (Japan, USA, China, Canada, Brunei & more).

Purchase machines make our production become 90% full automation production.

Increase daily production volumes > 15 tonnes.

Background
FisherGold Food Industries Sdn Bhd was established 40 years ago. We began as a supplier of traditional fish balls to the local wet market at Jalan Besar, Bukit Mertajam in Penang, Malaysia.
Our founder – Mr Boo Sew Choon and his family manage the business from their home’s backyard. Mr Boo Tai Chong, his son, followed in his father’s footsteps and has continued the business from the year 1999 until now. FisherGold Food Industries’ factory was built in December 2009 and is now located in the prime industrial area of Bukit Minyak, occupying approximately 1 acre of land as its headquarters, manufacturing, warehouse, and distribution site.
